This list is being compiled by me, of all Reynolds entries in Essex parish records. It began as a search for my own ancestors but now that these records are becoming available on-line, I am compiling a list of all entries. These are only my rough notes and are not intended to be an exact record.
Essex Record Office have put most early church records on the internet.They hope to have them all completed within the next three years. If you click on the link here Essex Records Office you will land on the correct page. Choose the first letter of the parish you wish to research and a drop down menu gives you all the villages beginning with that letter. Choose the church and all records are displayed. Those entries marked as digital entries can then be viewed.My entries below that were taken from the new digitalised records will have a number after them. This is the image number, so that you can go direct to the page and view it. You can also copy it to our computer.

Do remember, when you are reading these records, that until 1751/2 the year ran from 1st April until 31st March. Therefore a child baptised in December 1701, who was buried in February 1701, was two months old. Similarly, a couple who married in April 1600, can quite easily baptise their first child, nine months later, in January 1600.
I have all these entries on a database. If you are looking for the birthplace of an ancestor,or a burial or marriage, I can search in seconds and find , for instance, all James Reynolds recorded baptisms, say between, 1690 and 1710, all James Reynolds marriages and all burials. It can take weeks trying to find where an ancestor married. My records, however, are limited to Essex. Please send an e-mail and I will be delighted to find the information for you.
